Comprehensive Legal Agreement & Service Conditions
By scheduling or authorizing any diagnostic, maintenance, or repair service with Owlico Appliances, you (the “Customer”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding contract under the laws of the State of Florida.
Owlico Appliances charges a non-refundable Trip & Diagnostic Charge for the technician’s travel and initial evaluation of the appliance. After the diagnostic, you will receive a detailed estimate for the total cost of the repair, including parts, labor, and applicable Florida state and Sarasota County sales tax. If you decline the repair, you are only responsible for the Trip & Diagnostic Charge.
Payment in full is due immediately upon completion of the service. All installed parts remain the property of Owlico Appliances until full payment is received. In the event of non-payment, Owlico Appliances reserves the right to exercise a mechanic’s lien on the repaired appliance to secure payment for labor and materials provided, as permitted by Florida Statutes Chapter 713, and may pursue legal collection actions.
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee. Special Order Parts: If a repair requires ordering a specific part and the Customer approves the estimate, the cost of that special order part is strictly non-refundable if the Customer subsequently cancels the service.
Our technicians exercise extreme care when working in your home. However, by requesting service, the Customer assumes the inherent risks associated with moving heavy or built-in appliances. Owlico Appliances shall not be held liable for:
Owlico Appliances offers a limited warranty of 30 days on labor and 90 days on parts supplied and installed by our company. This warranty exclusively covers defects in the specific parts installed and the exact labor performed. This warranty is void if the appliance is tampered with by third parties, subjected to misuse, pest infestations (e.g., rodents, roaches), or acts of God (e.g., power surges, hurricanes).
An adult (18 years or older) with the authority to approve estimates and work must be present during the entire service visit. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the work area is safe and free of hazards, including restraining pets and removing biological hazards or pests. Technicians reserve the right to refuse service if conditions pose a health or safety risk, in which case the Trip & Diagnostic Charge will still apply.
By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive transactional communications, including appointment reminders, invoices, and service updates via SMS text messages, phone calls, and emails from Owlico Appliances. You may opt-out of these communications at any time by replying “STOP” to our text messages or contacting us directly.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Sarasota County, Florida.
