Refund & Warranty
Clear Guidelines on Guarantees, Parts, and Cancellations
At Owlico Appliances, we take pride in our expertise and strive for complete customer satisfaction. However, to maintain fair and transparent business practices in the State of Florida, we enforce the following Refund and Warranty policies.
1. Refund Policy
1.1. Trip & Diagnostic Charge
The standard Trip & Diagnostic Charge compensates our technicians for their travel time, vehicle expenses, and professional expertise in identifying the issue with your appliance. This fee is strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether you choose to proceed with the recommended repair or if the appliance is deemed unrepairable.
1.2. Special Order Parts
If a repair requires ordering specific parts, we will only proceed after your explicit approval of the estimate. Once a special order part has been purchased on your behalf, the cost of that part is strictly non-refundable. If you cancel the service after the part has been ordered, you will still be billed for the part’s cost, and the part will be given to you.
1.3. Completed Labor
Labor charges for completed repairs are non-refundable. If an issue persists or recurs, it falls under our Limited Warranty Policy (detailed below) rather than a refund scenario.
2. Limited Warranty Policy
2.1. Standard Coverage
We stand behind the quality of our work. Owlico Appliances provides a limited warranty covering the specific repairs we perform:
- 90 Days on Parts: We guarantee the new parts we supply and install against manufacturer defects for 90 days from the date of service.
- 30 Days on Labor: We guarantee our workmanship for 30 days from the date of the original repair.
2.2. Warranty Exclusions
Our limited warranty is designed to cover fair, normal use. The warranty will be immediately voided under any of the following conditions:
- The appliance is moved, uninstalled, or tampered with by the homeowner, another company, or any third-party service provider.
- The defect is caused by user misuse, neglect, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s maintenance guidelines.
- Damage is caused by external factors, including but not limited to: electrical power surges, lightning strikes, plumbing failures, or pest/rodent infestations.
- The new issue is completely unrelated to the original repair performed by our technician.
3. Making a Warranty Claim
If you experience a recurrence of the original issue within the warranty period, please contact us immediately at 941-940-0000. We will schedule a priority follow-up visit. If our technician determines the failure is due to a defective part we installed or our workmanship, we will rectify the issue at no additional cost. If the technician determines the issue is a new, unrelated problem, a new Trip & Diagnostic Charge and repair estimate will apply.
